of the procedures for admission to
Form One in September 2010. For

| Policy |
| As an aided school, admission to Form One in La Salle is regulated by the SSPA System. |
| Students are admitted either
through the discretionary place system
or allocated by Government from our
feeder school, La Salle Primary or
by central allocation. |

| Admission through Discretionary Places |
| |

| 1. |
Forms can be
obtained by post or in person during
school office hours or downloaded following this link. A letter of application
is required, if you want the form to
be sent by post. |
| 2. |
Completed Forms, together
with the required documents, must be
submitted
in person on or before the deadline.
No late applications can be accepted. |
| 3. |
All applicants will be
notified by phone of the date and time
of the
interviews. For overseas applicants
special arrangements will be made for
the timing of the interview. |

No written Tests are given to applicants. |
| 5. |

| |
French is offered as an alternative to Chinese Language Subjects. This option is normally
meant only for non-Chinese speaking students, or for those attending schools where
Chinese is not the medium of instruction, or for returnees from overseas whose
foundation in Chinese is weak. |

| Procedure |
| 1. |
Application
letters should be sent to the Principal
together with all relevant documents
and a stamped addressed envelope. |
| 2. |
The application
is acknowledged through a proforma. |
| 3. |
If vacancies arise, suitable candidates are invited for written tests in English, Chinese and Mathematics and an interview with the Principal. |
| 4. |
Applications for admission
to F5 or F7 are not considered. |
| |

| Re-admission |
| Normally,
students who have withdrawn from the
school and have given official notice
to this effect are not considered for
re-admission. However, if parents and
students concerned can produce convincing
and valid reasons, their applications
will be considered on a case by case
basis. |
