The Speech Team is pleased to announce that the 62nd Hong Kong Schools
Speech Festival has officially commenced. Interested students may approach
their language subject teachers for obtaining application forms. Please also
check the events codes and pieces on the speech team official website: http://lscspeechteam.qsh.eu/ . Students should submit all completed application forms
to their respective teachers on or before 8th September, late submission will not

School Commencement Assemblies 2010 - 2011

The School Commencement Assemblies 2010 - 2011 were held for F.1 to F.3, and F.4 to F.7 classes on 2nd and 3rd September 2010 respectively.
Our Supervisor, Rev. Bro. Patrick expressed his warmest welcome to the F.1 boys and gave an enlightening speech. This is followed by our new Principal, Bro. Steve who introduced himself to the boys and talked about the Theme for This Year which is 'Let your light shine' (Matt 5:14). He further remarked that the boys have to set their own goals this week in order to stretch their potential, and 'let their light shine'.
The assemblies were concluded by our Discipline Master, Mr. Ng Siu Wing who gave a talk on 'School Discipline' to the boys.

Math Team Achievements

The Math Team is very pleased to announce that Chung Ping Ngai Brian (6C last year, now studying Mathematics at MIT) has obtained a Silver Medal and Yu Tak Hei Trevor (6B) a Bronze Medal in the 51st International Mathematical Olympiad held in Kazakhstan during July.
Congratulations to their marvelous achievement.
We thank the teacher advisors for their guidance and support.

Prince Philip Scholarship to the University of Cambridge

We thank Dr Stockdale for her presentation of LSE's undergraduate programmes, studying environment, facilities and career prospect of graduates. Students appreciated very much of her useful advice on UCAS application.

UK Summer Camp 2010

A group of 26 students from Forms 1 - 3 participated in a 3-week UK Summer Camp organized by the Excel Academy. With the assistance and guidance of the accompanying teachers, Mr. Gary Chan and Mr. Peter Leung, they had the experience of complete immersion in the English culture, the use of English and the British way of life through attending different workshops, excursions and staying in local host families.
